These are just a few of the 40+ articles I wrote about Central Park while at the nonprofit organization that manages its daily care.
“Where the Grass is Greener: What to Know About Central Park's Lawns”
“Get to Know Sara Cedar Miller, Central Park Conservancy Historian Emerita”
“Art, Activism, and More: How Women Have Influenced Central Park”
I was one of two writers for the Conservancy’s 2020 annual report and 2019 annual report. Each book, featuring more than 130 pages, showcased a year at the organization.
I love to find interactive ways to share information. For these flowcharts about visiting the Park, I wrote and edited the copy, conceptualized the flow, and provided direction on design.
I started my career in higher education communications. At Columbia University in the City of New York, I was part of the team that launched and ran the annual Columbia Giving Day. And at the fundraising nonprofit for the University of Kansas, I wrote for the organization’s annual report, donor magazine, and more.
In the below example, I profiled the KU students who solicit alumni for donations — humanizing their job and sharing the unique stories behind some gifts.
